#BRINGBACKOURGIRLS

It has been an entire month since fatal news surrounded and shocked the entire world. What appeared to be a nice, calm night of April in te dorms of an all-girls school in Chibok, Nigeria, turned out to be a nightmare. On April 14, approximately 300 girls were abducted from what was supposed to be the safety of their school by a Nigerian terrorist group called Boko Haram (which means Western education is sin). Out of those 300 girls, only 53 where able to escape. This group does not believe that women should be going to school to learn, the leader of the group, Abubakar Shekau thinks women should "go and get married." After kidnapping these girls from ages 12 to 17, Shekau stated via video message that he was not going to keep these young ladies, and was going to sell them for 12 dollars, according to him, in the name of Allah.
Human rights are obviously being violated, and authorities from all around the world are taking action in the effort of returning these girls to their heartbroken families.
The nigerian government is apparently not doing very much to help the victims of this misfortune, according to their families and friends. This lack of support is the reason why people all around the world are sympathizing with those affected in Nigeria by informing and postng about this tragic event in the different social media sites with the hashtag #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS. By doing this we are showing our respect and solidarity to the heartbroken families of these girls, we are also making the government of Nigeria take this tragedy more seriously and alerting the rest of the world about what is happening to our brothers and sisters of Nigeria.
I am sure all of you who have a sister, a daughter, a niece, a cousin, wil realize how unbearable the pain must be for those affected by this terrible act.
Show some kindness and respect to our siblings in Nigeria. You can help by posting a picture on ANY social media site with the hashtag #BRINGBACKOURGIRLS, or you can also click the links below which will take you to two sites where you can sign both petitions and help different organizations to Bring Back Our Girls.
